After God's Own Heart
Gary Chapman
Released:
Feb 2002
Label:
Reunion Records
This LP is Chapman's coat of many colors -- introspective, with a warm, guest-appearance appeal. He leaps from parody to gritty folk-soul vocals saturating his guitar. He's similar to music buddies Billy Sprague or Wayne Kirkpatrick, the latter of which wrote the opener, CCM classic "Man After Your Own Heart," which does beautiful things to Chapman's voice.
