Bad for You Baby, like the majority of Gary Moore's albums post-Thin Lizzy, sits at the intersection of electric blues and hard rock. In fact, had this record come out in 1972, Moore's raspy howl, thunderous riffage and searing hot licks would've made him the toast of rock radio, right alongside ZZ Top, the Allmans, Free and the Winters Brothers (Edgar and Johnny). At the same time, Moore is capable of turning in the requisite tender soul ballad, most notably the smooth jam "Holding On."
