Roger Moore was now in as Bond, and Beatles producer George Martin steps in for John Barry. Paul McCartney's amazing theme song to this James-Bond-Goes-Blaxploitation epic captures the era when dreams of peace and love were replaced by a "me, me, me" philosophy. Since movies like Shaft were all the rage when this was made, Martin has fun bringing elements of funk, jazz, New Orleans R&B and Caribbean music into the mix. This may not be the best Bond score, but it's up there with Goldfinger in being among the finest to listen to apart from the movie.
