Gipsy Kings have cornered the market on flamenco-kissed soundtracks for your every candlelit-dinner need -- and 25 years after their debut, they keep that model intact. Savor Flamenco is a great name for what this band’s general aesthetic: the flavor of flamenco peppered with tastes of other musics. So “Bye Bye” works some soft jazz grooves, while “Me Voy” mixes in a little son and rumba. Sure, it would be nice to hear those serious chops tackle something a different, but when Nicolas Reyes (whose gravelly vocals are rougher but still powerful) is crooning in your ear, who cares?
