BiographyThough Goblin are best known for their soundtracks to Dario Argento's horror films, they have produced a broad spectrum of sounds. Goblin's founding members (including Argento himself) had performed music together, but they formed Goblin in 1975 to provide the chilling, unforgettable Progressive twists and turns around the soundtrack to Argento's Profondo Rosso. They continued as a band, creating epic rock sojourns and scoring suspense and tension on celluloid (Suspiria, Tenebre, Martin). As time passed, they approached a more radio-ready sound that was patently '80s pop, while maintaining solid roots in Prog.
