On one hand, nothing about God-des and She -- a white, lesbian hip-hop duo that formed in Madison, Wis. -- screams Successful Hip-Hop Act! On the other hand, everything about their second album kind of does: She belts soulfully while emcee God-des, who sounds a bit like Eminem doing his best impression of Da Brat, waxes poetic about the hard road she took to get here ("A Little Too Different"), makes big claims about how she's gonna shake the game up ("Top of the World") and crows about her, um, oral abilities ("Lick It"). Throw in a few vintage beats and you've got yourself a queer Kanye!
