Biography

Herbie Hancock marveled at Gonzalo Rubalcaba's lightning piano runs in front of thousands of people at a tribute to Antonio Carlos Jobim in 1993. This young Cuban musician has only recently gained attention outside his homeland. Rubalcaba's technical wizardry is indeed jaw-dropping, and his sensitivity is fast rising up to his skill level.
