An unapologetically bad recording made without a proper band, and featuring some of Pollard's finest ever moments, Vampire On Titus kicks off with a real killer. "Wished I Was A Giant," with infinitely unintelligible vocals and a thrumming guitar riff instead of a chorus, simply cannot be overplayed. The song just never gets old. The rest of the album seeps into your subconscious the way GBV tends to do – you'll never know the titles or half the words, but you will know all of these songs by heart. Tobin Sprout's "Gleemer (The Deeds of Fertile Jim)" is another major winner.
