Gustafer Yellowgold

Who's Gustafer Yellowgold? Not just a fabulously named cartoon creature, but also the brainchild of songwriter/illustrator Morgan Taylor. Taylor came up with the concept in 2005, charting the story of Yellowgold, a creature who arrives on Earth from the sun and proceeds to make a rather cacophonous group of friends: a flightless pterodactyl, math-loving slugs and a pet dragon. Every live show features illustrations in concert with literate, at times orchestral, indie pop songs that have a broad appeal: Yellowgold has opened for acts as diverse at the Polyphonic Spree and Wilco.
