"Sweets" Edison is featured on so many studio sessions that his solo sides sometimes get overlooked. Here, the trumpeter fits in perfectly with his fellow swing maverick, Ben Webster (tenor), and West Coast stalwarts, Barney Kessel (guitar) and Jimmy Rowles (piano). Very tasty session -- Edison references his old boss and fellow breakout star Johnny Hodges on the tune "Used To Be Basie."
