Appearing in 1995, this second record from Harvey Milk will be revelatory to the uninitiated, an obvious influence on tons of heavy extremeness to come, from the nitrous-doom of the Boredoms' Super Ae to the minimal gargantuanisms of Sunn O))) and Khanate. When they aren't taking fans of Karp's Mustaches Wild to an even deeper pit in hell, Creston Spiers, Stephen Tanner and Paul Trudeau work in moments of serenity as perfectly melodic as the best of the early days of indie rock (think Built to Spill's first 7-inches and listen to "Brown Water"). "Plastic Eggs" is a highlight.
