Dreamer (Digital Exclusive)
Released: Oct 2008
Label: Solid State Records (SST)
Haste the Day are hard to pin down here. Opening with the strong guttural vox and harrowing guitars of "68" (the heaviest song on the album), they then veer into super-produced, catchy songs that sound dangerously close to Atreyu ("Mad Man," "Babylon") and even Thrice ("An Adult Tree"), before abandoning metal completely on "Labyrinth" and "Autumn." Though nothing new for the metalcore style they hail from, tracks like "Sons of the Fallen Nation" find HTD straddling the line between the prevalent Christian scene and the mainstream.
