by Heidi Montag
Released: Jan 2010
Label: Pratt Productions
How can you determine if you like an album by someone who's built a career on making people strongly dislike her (in a "can't not look at it" way)? Nothing on Heidi Montag's debut is unlikable: She doesn't sing badly (thanks, Auto-Tune!); the beats are solid and innocuous; and the lyrics are unremarkable. In fact, Superficial hinges on her other "talent": an ability to exist at a level so surface she blends into the landscape. "More Is More" sounds like ABBA if you squint your ears, for instance, and Britney references abound. As Mrs. Pratt herself says, "I'll be your blonde tonight."
