With each outing, Helena Noguerra tackles a different theme or sonic concept. Here, the Belgian vocalist and actress sings 19 selections by Serge Rezvani, a renaissance man of the beatnik era who is celebrated for his plays, paintings, books and -- of course -- his many songs (American film fans will know some of these songs from Truffaut and Godard movies). This unrolls like a modern love letter to an old-world talent, with key contributions from Vincent Delerm, Marie-France and Rezvani himself. Top honors go to "Blues Indolent," "Minuit Orly" and "Moi Je Prefere."
