A rap group more in line with the "crunkcore" scene than Wu-Tang, Hollywood Undead combine a shotgun spray of styles -- club synths, hardcore raps, emo choruses and fat, fat beats -- into songs that bring the heavy party like the best radio rap does. Desperate Measures, for all its mainstream trappings, is as far out as anything on the fringe, not unlike the work of their neon-sporting peers Brokencyde. Check the Zeppelin cover ("Immigrant Song") and the live crunkcore rap manifesto "Undead."
