Part debut album and part singles collection, the eponymous long-player from New York's nu-disco duo Holy Ghost! gathers previously released material alongside new songs, and you can hear their interests shifting from track to track, from New Order homages to '90s dance-pop. 2007's "Hold On" is still their high-water mark, but 2010's "Static on the Wire" is a close second. If the album isn't completely convincing as a whole, the record plays out like a solid DJ set, with enough alt-club verve to keep you moving from peak to peak.
