In 1968, with their folkie days clearly behind them, Ian and Sylvia Tyson ventured into country-tinged roots music. Featuring early renditions of Bob Dylan's "The Mighty Quinn" and "This Wheel's on Fire," Nashville isn't a radical departure like the Byrds' Sweethearts of the Rodeo; it's more of a subtle shift. It did, however, lay the groundwork for the duo's awesome collaborations in the early '70s with the Great Speckled Bird, a gritty bar band that bled greasy twang like Crazy Horse.
