Biography

Ian Astbury is a restless man. After firing up Holy Barbarians, he reunited for a tour with the Cult, only to produce a solo debut the following year. On Spirit/Light/Speed Astbury forsakes the Cult's quest for the perfect riff and takes a palimpsest of sound approach, producing thick, waxy build-ups of dance beats and vocal overdubs.
