Iasos' 1975 debut is a New Age landmark. It's one of the first fusions of synthesizers, environmental sounds, world music and post-hippie psychedelia that were created for the specific purpose of consciousness expansion. Inter-Dimensional Music might feel a bit extravagant, maybe even fruity at times.; there's a definite exotica influence at work here. Yet that's kind of cool. Like fellow New Age pioneer Robert Anton Wilson, Iasos knew that playfulness is a fundamental component to any successful mystical process.
