It's unfortunate that so many talented female singer-songwriters get all lumped together -- is she a Fiona, a Tori, a Bjork? The upside to this, though, is it creates a need for artists to further differentiate themselves. Imogen Heap was well on her way to autonomy with the smash "Hide and Seek," but her lovely muddle of electro trickles, trip-hop beats, strings, flutes, piano, bird chirps, multitracked vocals, whispers, glass-shattering trills and tingly lyrics like "I couldn't care less/ I'm transfixed in this absolute bliss," assures that she's in a league of her own.
