Finland's Impaled Nazarene refer to their blasphemous brand of eardrum damage as "nuclear metal," basically a crusty, Punk-infused version of Black Metal. Marked by raspy vocals, dark atmospherics, and relatively simple songwriting, their music evokes no imagery of galloping horses or mist-filled nights -- just plain, nihilistic rage.
