The very first time that Eric Shea, our Country Music Editor, talked with Jack Ingram, he didn't realize until the end of the interview that his microphone was plugged into the headphone jack. So we had to schedule a second (and shorter) interview in Nashville during the CMA Fan Fair. But it was okay. Ingram confessed that he has a degree in psychology and talked Eric down. Afterwards the two of them talked about what it's like to tour as a family man—while singing songs about infidelity, like his perfect rendition of Hinder's "Lips of an Angel," as well as almost coming to blows with Billy Joe Shaver.
