This Is It kicks off with "Measure of a Man," an emotional country rocker about how a man should be measured by his life decisions and not by his old lady's measuring tape. "Hold On" is a piano-heavy ditty that furthers the life-affirming theme of this album, which is pleasantly interrupted by Jack's hayseed cover of Hinder's prom hit "Lips of an Angel." If the folky shuffle of "Easy As 1, 2, 3 (Part II)" sounds different than the preceding songs, that's because it's among the few tunes on the album that Ingram had a hand in writing.
