Jack Logan

Insanely prolific singer/songwriter Jack Logan achieved notoriety in 1994 when Restless Records culled a 2 CD set of songs from a set of 600 that Logan had recorded since 1979. Logan has a somewhat chameleon-like, world weary everyman voice which he transcends with material that ranges sonically from pure pop to country rock to shambling hard rock on the verge of collapse and a few indescribable places in between. Lyrically, Logan is a concise story teller with a gift for offbeat imagery, who can be fascinatingly morbid. Songs that might seem overly ambitious or even pretentious by other performers are brought to earth by Mr. Logan's blunt personae, and the sympathetic backing of his varied musicians.
