It's easy to overlook Jagged Edge's talent when you're hit over the head with a few panting, single-entendre-crammed sex jams. But beyond its more explicit, radio-ready singles, the quartet has actually been consistently putting out the kind of dapper, harmonized RnB that shuffles, slow-dances and does a gentle electric slide toward the bedroom. Baby Makin' Project sees them teaming up with old friend Jermaine Dupri, and while the collaboration works, it doesn't necessarily produce sparks. Still, a solid release from a band that's held onto their chart presence despite shifting trends.
