Wobble and Levene played bass and guitar, respectively, on Public Image Ltd.'s unparalleled 1979 Metal Box. When they reunited 33 years later, their aesthetic rang familiar: dub dense as quicksand in service of Kraut-prog punk, varied by Bonham-boom drums, snake-charmer undulations and free-jazz sax. On top until the bottom drops out and background becomes foreground, Wobble and others get free rein to rant in rhythm, crankily and sometimes almost coherently, about forgotten Essex tribes and vampires. There's even inside-out country blues: "Mississippi," narrating a drive from Cincinnati.
