Owen's sophomore effort makes the most of his rich, deep voice whether he's rockin' out or taking it down a notch. And it's Owen's voice that propels this release forward, as many of the songs on Easy Does It take a few listens until they catch. Once they do, however, look out. The slow-groovin' "Easy Does It" stands in direct contrast to "Eight Second Ride" -- both in tempo and in subject matter -- but they make equally intriguing highlights. Other faves include "Don't Think I Can't Love You" and the girls-night-out-inspired "Who Said Whiskey (Was Meant to Drink a Woman Away)."
