For Drums on Fire new age heavy James Asher hooked up with Indian Tamil percussionist Sivamani, son of the legendary S. M. Anandan. The result is a magical journey through modern shamanic drumming. Most of the tracks on this East-meets-West affair range from meditative to downright ecstatic. Asher and Sivamani throw just about everything into the fire: tribal trance, Vedic chanting, hard rock guitar, exotic woodwinds and much more. Luis Cardenas has got nothing on these guys. That's for sure.
