2400 Fulton Street
Released: Mar 1987
Label: RCA RECORDS LABEL
If you're not up for exploring the Airplane's original albums, 2400 Fulton Street makes for a great overview of the band's career from 1966 to '72. The 36 song collection favors the band's popular folk-rock, but there's also plenty of its challenging psychedelia ("Ballad of You and Me and Pooneil"), back-to-the-country anthems ("We Can Be Together") and straight up hard rock ("Eat Starch Mom"). Curious note: the track listing is not chronological. This makes for a rather trippy listen.
