It’s unclear whether Christian artists are paying more attention to pop trends or they're just growing more compatible with the genre, but Riddle's isn't the first debut Christian artist in 2007 to echo the steady piano-driven ballads of Snow Patrol or Five for Fighting. A pacified rock rhythm remains steady throughout, building rarely but nicely such as in the end of "Call to Praise." In that same track, for those familiar with throwback worship choruses from the 1980s, check the barely detectable sampling of "Praise the Lord" in the second half.
