Bluegrass brothers Jim and Jesse McReynolds were best known for their string band skills and mountain music recordings with the Virginia Boys, but their tenure on Epic Records in the 1960s yielded some straightforward country classics that showcased their penchant for perfectly sung harmonies, as heard on such staples as "Yonder Comes A Freight Train," "Truck Drivin' Man" and "The River Jordan." Many of these tracks find the McReynolds brothers sounding like a less creepy version of the Louvins.
