Buffet Hotel
Jimmy Buffett
Released:
Dec 2009

Mailboat Records
Reportedly recorded by Buffett at a series of late-night post-surfing sessions, the veteran singer-songwriter's millionth album kicks off with an understated, old school boogie rock song. From there, he runs through a set list as prone to unpredictability as the ocean itself. While there are parrothead anthems, most notably the Calypso rocker "Rhumba Man" and the classic Buffett tropes-filled "Summerzcool," it's the adventurous surf rocker "Surfing In a Hurricane" and the Circle Jerks-worthy "A Lot to Drink About" that simply cannot be missed.
