The imported sports car-driving, karate-kicking Smith was about as far away from the chicken shack as you could get, but this album captures juke joint jazz at its best. Jimmy Smith is in top form as usual and his self-penned title track would go on to be seen as a soul jazz standard. The magnificent Kenny Burrell is on guitar and this is the Smith session that first spotlighted Stanley Turrentine, who would soon take off as a solo star in his own right.
