Glorious Results of a Misspent Youth

Glorious Results of a Misspent Youth by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts
Released: Apr 2009
Label: Blackheart
Released in 1984, Jett's third album kicks off with her chugging version of the signature Runaways tune "Cherry Bomb" and finds the seminal rocker alternating between old-school r'n'r, brokenhearted ballads and the so-tough punk/hard rock hybrids she has always had the most success with (try "Frustrated" for starters). Glorious Results didn't bring her the mega-hits she had with her first two albums, due in part to the absence of any real singles, but Jett appears far more interested in playing her guitar loud than re-creating "I Love Rock and Roll" here.
