Violin Concertos (2000)
Released: Jan 1987
These violin concertos are familiar to most hardcore Bach fans. They're performed here with crisp precision by a German ensemble that intimately understands Bach's language. These works are modeled after Vivaldi concertos, but with Bach's signature contrapuntalism and with less of the typical Baroque concerto's call-and-response dialogue between soloist and orchestra.
