by John Fogerty
Released: Jan 1985
John Fogerty picked the perfect time to launch his first comeback. In the mid-1980s, pop music was knee deep in a roots-rock revival. A lot of the bands getting their twang on, from Lone Justice to the BoDeans, were directly influenced by the mighty Creedence Clearwater Revival. Though the reclusive Fogerty had been out of the commercial spotlight since the early '70s, he scored a mega-hit with Centerfield and its two radio-friendly singles "The Old Man Down the Road" and "Centerfield."
