When Tom Fogerty left Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1971 and his brother John let Stu Cook and Doug Clifford write songs on Mardi Gras, it was such a disaster that the band dissolved shortly after. Well, here's more proof that John is, was and always will be the heart of CCR. "Creedence Song" is like Neil Young's "Buffalo Springfield Again" (from 2000's Silver and Gold), but it rocks like CCR did, and Fogerty's voice hasn't aged a day since his former band's debut. Even the guitar tones sound classic and timeless, especially on the delightfully anachronistic "Summer of Love."
