Getting Out Our Dreams/Sony Urban Music/Columbia
"Save Room" is beautiful but empty. The song's sweet-though-restrained melodies reaffirm Legend's love for stately production. Critics oftentimes compare Legend to a young Stevie Wonder, but it's also obvious on "Save Room" that the Chicago singer/songwriter listened to his fair share of Burt Bacharach. While the song is gorgeous, there's a certain distance between the lyrics and Legend's tepid, crooning delivery, and that detachment spells trouble.
