We don't know what Christmas is like at Jon B.'s house, but we're guessing it involves a fine lady, some sultry R&B (perhaps a Jon B. record?) and a bearskin rug in front of a roaring fire. On the singer's Christmas album, at least, the holidays are ho-ho-hot -- and so so smooth. Yule-fired originals and soulful versions of classics alike sound like aural buttered rum when sung in Jon's hushed, panty-melting tenor. On the satiny "Santa's on His Way," even the big guy gets his groove on.
