Once upon a time, Jon Secada was the boyish wonder of Latin pop, but even in his actual youth, the heartthrob had a mature, almost adult contemporary sound. At age 48, he's got an album that crackles with youthful pop vigor -- or is at least bookended by it, thanks to skipping, swaying lead single "Dejame Quererte." In the middle, things still verge on the hokey (rocker "Un Sueno Nada Mas") and the slightly overwrought (endearingly cheesy waltz "Me Entrego"). And sometimes Secada's vigor is a bit forced (the overly clubby "Get Crazy"). But dang, the "boy" is still dreamy.
