"Down the Line" is the first single from Jose Gonzalez's In Our Nature album. Gonzalez somehow knows how to make acoustic music that is brooding and unsettling (add thundering tribal drums and electric guitars to this song and you'd get Joy Division). While "Down the Line" is more of a mood piece than a proper single, Gonzalez offers a stirring cover of the old Bronski Beat hit "Smalltown Boy."
