Biography
A romantic singer in the vein of Jose Feliciano and Juan Gabriel, Jose Jose (born Jose Ortiz) got his start in the mid-1960s. But it wasn't until the '70s that a string of hits cemented his status in Mexico. In the '80s Ortiz began dabbling in acting, though he's continued to produce charting albums that remain in the sentimental pop arena.
