Junior Boys stay subdued on their third album. Even their most uptempo cuts are suitable for slow-dancing, Jeremy Greenspan's voice still comes on like a swoon, and their sparse arrangements remain spongy as memory foam. It's made for sinking into, from pillow-talk tracks like "Sneak a Picture" to the dreamy R&B of "What It's For." Their songwriting has never been stronger: "Bits & Pieces" is a radio hit for a parallel world where Italo-disco reigns, while the sunny changes of "The Animator" offer a heartfelt tribute to yacht rock. From smooth dudes, this is their most suave album yet.
