Take seven years off and you're gonna end up sitting on a lot of good material. Round 2 of 20/20 isn't as tight as the first -- but it's also not as heavily stylized. With a few exceptions, the sharp-dressed vintage hues are gone. In their place are a series of stylistic experiments. Some fall flat (the bland "Not a Bad Thing"), some point to exciting futures (more Memphis swagger a la "Drink You Away!") and a few are passionately gripping ("Only When I Walk Away"). If Round 1 was a perfectly polished comeback, Round 2 is a glimpse of what's been rolling around that brain the past few years.
