Haitian hip-hop's other big claim to fame (no, not Pras), Kast-A-Way couldn't be more different than Wyclef in many ways. Riddim and Rhyme EP takes a harder edge (both sonically and lyrically) than Mr. socially conscious "Sweetest Girl." And it works: Kas's ragga flavor is bold, infectious and compellingly cocky. But he's at his best on "Dear Dad," an impassioned, heartfelt and sometimes bitter ode to his absentee father that, ironically, sounds more Wyclef-esque than anything else on the album.
