Until her death in 1999, Webster embodied the vitality of the modern New Orleans blues scene, with a booming but gentle voice and a barrelhouse piano style that was directly linked to the R&B-heavy classic period in Fat City (think Tuts Washington and Professor Longhair). The swamp blues pianist delivered this raucous, soulful and occasionally horny album in 1988.
