Released:
Label: Rhino/Warner Bros.
Reintarnation returns k.d. lang to her cowpunk roots with a 20-song compilation spanning her music's first decade. It includes three songs from the soundtrack to Gus Van Sant's celluloid adaptation of Tom Robbins' Even Cowgirls Get the Blues and the previously unreleased "Changed My Mind." But the true gem here is her very first single, the Patsy Cline-inspired "Friday Dance Promenade." Only 500 copies of this were pressed in 1983, just to be sold at her shows.
