Keith Green

Fans most love Keith Green for the life he lived behind the music -- a ministry inspired by his own dramatic discovery of Christ at the height of the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll era. He won hearts with his enthusiasm for singing the Good News to (mostly) mainstream crowds. When a private plane carrying Green and two of his children went down in 1982, his life and musical development were very prematurely halted. Thus, we're left with the echoes of his contributions and recordings that are understandably dated, coming across as loosely strung flower child Jesus rock. But Green's music's melodies and concepts were beloved enough to make songs like "You Put This Love In My Heart" and "Make My Life A Prayer to You" classics that are still being re-recorded by top contemporary Christian artists.
