Everyone can relate to the idea of warm, sandy beaches recharging batteries and mending broken hearts -- the inspiration for the songs on Kenny Chesney's Lucky Old Sun. The songwriting process for this effort started in 2005, and most of the tunes deal with his short-lived, whirlwind relationship with Rene Zellweger and how the experience/loss overtook everything else in his life. Although Chesney wears his heart(ache) on his sleeve throughout much of the album, there are moments of positive affirmation ("I'm Alive"), light-hearted romance ("Ten With a Two") and even a hopeful, rosy outlook on love ("Down the Road").
