Kermit Ruffins

Ruffins has the air of a born entertainer, as suggested by both his tenure with Rebirth Brass Band and, more recently, as a leader in his own right. Though sometimes erratic, his albums generally rate as quality good-time neo-Traditional Jazz, prominently featuring his scrappy, carefree vocals and Louis Armstrong-inspired trumpeting.
